What is your motto?
Challenging yourself means growth; experiencing something beyond your comfort zone creates knowledge.

What is your idea of happiness and success?
Happiness and success is when I do what I desire to with no regrets, and to the best of my ability whether I achieve it or not, and am able to learn from my mistakes.

What is your childhood dream?
When I was a child, I witnessed my friend getting bullied in school. Since then, I have dreamt of becoming a lawyer to fight for all the injustices in our world.

What is the most unique quality or greatest strength about you? How did it help you to become one of the finalists today?
I have a positive attitude that radiates to others and makes them feel happy. I show the real me and am always optimistic and smiling.
Who is the most inspiring person in your life and how?
My mom is the strongest woman I know because she constantly puts her loved ones before herself. She is an accountant during the day and a great mother and wife at home. She is my role model and I aspire to be like her one day.

What makes you happy and what makes you sad?
I’m happy when I meet and exceed the goals that I set. I’m sad when my loved ones are upset.

What is the biggest mistake you have ever made in your life? What have you done to overcome it?
My biggest regret growing up is caring too much about what others thought of me, which hindered many opportunities for myself. Since then, I have discovered my passion for dancing, which allowed me to become confident in myself and have now learned to challenge myself in many aspects and grasp onto different opportunities. This is why I decided to join Miss Chinese Toronto Pageant.

If you could change one thing in the world, what would it be?
Discrimination; instead of splitting the world by differences, we can learn to appreciate the beauty of it.

What is the one change that you would like to bring in you?
I would like to show my appreciation to my family more. Growing up in an Asian household, saying “I love you” is rare, but I hope to do that more often because I am always grateful for my family.

How social media has changed us? The good and the bad.
Social media has connected the world globally and has created easy access to communication, education, business, politics, entertainment, and opportunities for people. It is a platform that can be utilized to spread awareness of important issues of our world today. However, it can also create false expectations that can cultivate a pool of unhealthy youths who spend their everyday lives hoping to live up to it.
