What is your motto?
If you can’t love yourself, how can you love someone else. Power of mind- the mind is everything. What you think, you become. Always be kind.

What is your idea of happiness and success?
A simple and stress-free life. Although the glitter and sparkles of life are enjoyable, they are not necessary to be successful and happy. Simply a life with unconditional support and love can help one achieve happiness and success. Stress can really hinder a person’s success and can lead to depression. Living a stress-free life means there would be no mental/emotional tension, strain, or pressure when completing a task to be successful and happy.

What is your childhood dream?
Ever since I was a little girl I dreamt of being a florist. Every summer, my parents would scold me because I would always pick flowers from our garden. I love arranging flowers into bouquets and to me, giving flowers meant there was a special occasion- so I tried making every summer day an occasion!

What is the most unique quality or greatest strength about you? How did it help you to become one of the finalists today?
One of the greatest strength about myself is the positivity I can spread in the room. I enjoy making people laugh and smile whilst having an enjoyable conversation. Also having an optimistic and realistic outlook on the opportunity helped me become one of the finalists today; I was able to display that I can be a promising contestant.
Who is the most inspiring person in your life and how?
I consider both my parents as one person- they’re tied at the hip! This said, they are the most inspiring ‘person’ in my life because coming to Canada they had nothing in their hands yet, were able to work hard and build a bright and comfortable future for my siblings and I. Their unconditional love, support, and knowledge is what I find myself leaning on when times are tough.

What makes you happy and what makes you sad?
Closest to me, what makes me sad is when I see my dog in pain- he recently sprained his limb, and seeing him limp really makes me feel helpless. Trying my best to make him comfortable makes me happy but at times when there’s nothing I can do but to let him rest, ice cream would make me happy/cheer me up. Generally, seeing animals in discomfort and animal cruelty really saddens me and I’d be more than happy to help, whether it be for charity or volunteer work. But on a serious note, world hate makes me sad, and spreading knowledge on misrepresented facts and seeing people’s perspective change makes me happy.

What is the biggest mistake you have ever made in your life? What have you done to overcome it?
To me, there are two types of mistakes. Mistakes that affect myself (regret none), are not mistakes, as I correlate them to learning experiences. Secondly, all the mistakes where I am solely at fault for causing someone’s pain, are the biggest mistakes. I’ve tried my best to rectify the issue, and at the end of the day I would reflect on my actions.

If you could change one thing in the world, what would it be?
Considering all the negativity in the world, I would change ALL. But as a priority. I would change hate, and everything related (war, racism, discrimination). Scientifically, every person in the world is a human. On a grand perspective, excluding religion, race, colour or orientation we are equally engineered with a brain and a heart. I am not different from the person next to me nor is that person different from someone who lives in Hawaii. We should all learn to accept someone as who they are with an open mind. We are wasting energy on hate when it should really be used on promoting equality, saving people from starvation, saving animals, or the planet we live on by reducing global warming.

What is the one change that you would like to bring in you?
Loosen up my OCD tendencies- let go of matters I can’t control!!

How social media has changed us? The good and the bad.
In my opinion, social media has changed society for the good and bad. Positively, it can make a person more confident in themselves by allowing them to showcase their work, whether it be their talents, body transformation journey, entertainment or educational work, to allow someone to become successful by promoting their business. Also, it has changed society to become more social by allowing us to reconnect with old friends and connect with new friends. Negatively, social media can set a high calibre of unrealistic matters. For example, the ‘ideal’ body image, where girls are losing their self confidence because they’re constantly thinking their body is not good enough. Another example, where people post pictures of vacation and material goods, displaying a false image that hard work is not needed- changing the society by discouragement. Social media is like candies, a good amount is enjoyable but an uncontrollable amount can become unhealthy.
